Who we are

What Daily Rise is

Daily Rise is a personal wellness tool that helps you check in with how you're feeling, try on different perspectives, and track your emotional shifts over time. We built it to be gentle, honest, and respectful of your privacy.

What we collect

If you use Daily Rise without an account

Everything stays on your device. Your emotional check-ins, intentions, belief ladder progress, and boat log entries are stored in your browser's local storage. We never see this data. It doesn't leave your device.

If you create an account

When you sign up, we collect your email address and sync your data to our database so it follows you across devices. This includes:

• Your emotional level check-ins (the 1–10 scale readings)
• Session records (before/after levels, which process you used)
• Intentions you've set (what you want, your resistance and aligned beliefs)
• Belief ladder progress
• Boat log entries (descriptions and linked intentions)

If you join our waitlist

We collect your email address to send occasional updates about Daily Rise. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting DailyRise@babymilestonetracker.com or clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We do not share your email with third parties or use it for advertising.

If you use the Daily Rise Chrome Extension

The Daily Rise Chrome Extension stores all data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). This includes your reminder preferences (morning/evening toggle states and times) and session streak data synced from the Daily Rise website. No data from the extension is sent to our servers or any third party. The extension uses Chrome's Alarms API to schedule local reminder notifications and Chrome's Notifications API to display them. The extension accesses daily-rise.com only to read session data from the page for streak display — it does not modify, collect, or transmit any browsing data.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookie-free and privacy-focused by design. It collects aggregated, anonymous page view data and event-level tracking (such as "a session was started," "a check-in was completed," or which emotional zone a user was in). Analytics events may include non-identifying contextual data like emotional zone names, but never your email address or account information. Vercel Analytics does not track individual users across sessions, does not use cookies, and does not collect personal information.

What we don't collect

• We set zero cookies — first-party or third-party
• No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking tool
• No advertising trackers of any kind
• No third-party scripts that load external resources
• Fonts are self-hosted — no data sent to Google

Legal basis for processing

We process your data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — When you create an account, we process your data to provide the Daily Rise service to you.
• Consent — When you join our waitlist, you consent to receiving occasional emails. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legitimate interest — We use anonymous, aggregated analytics to understand how the service is used and improve it. This processing is minimal, uses no cookies, and does not track individuals.

How we handle sensitive data

We recognize that emotional and psychological data is sensitive. Your check-in levels, resistance beliefs, and personal reflections deserve respect. We:

• Never sell your data to anyone
• Never use your data for advertising
• Never share your individual data with third parties
• Only use your data to provide the Daily Rise experience

Service providers (data processors)

We use the following third-party service providers to operate Daily Rise:

• Supabase — Database and authentication. Stores account data, sessions, intentions, and boat log entries for authenticated users. Hosted in the United States.
• Vercel — Hosting and analytics. Serves the application and processes anonymous, aggregated usage data. Based in the United States.

Both providers are bound by data processing agreements and process data only on our instructions.

International data transfers

All account data is stored in the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the US under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as approved by the European Commission. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove all associated data within 30 days. Waitlist email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Anonymous local storage data is managed entirely by your browser — we never see or store it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — Ask us to delete your data
• Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Restrict processing — Ask us to limit how we use your data
• Object to processing — Object to our use of your data based on legitimate interest
• Withdraw consent — Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time

You can delete all your local data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage. For account data, contact us at DailyRise@babymilestonetracker.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have not adequately addressed your concerns, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not use your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the service.

Categories of personal information we may collect: identifiers (email address), emotional and wellness data (check-in levels, intentions, beliefs), and internet activity (anonymous aggregated analytics). To exercise your rights, contact DailyRise@babymilestonetracker.com.

Children

Daily Rise is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the revised version here. For significant changes, we will notify account holders by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Previous versions of this policy are available upon request.
